Competition for YEC guardians from Mazovia and Silesia for initiatives supporting intercultural integration
Do you run a Young Explorer’s Club in Mazovia or Silesia? Do you want children from Ukraine to join you? Think about activities supporting integration and take part in the competition. Just describe your idea and fill out the form.
The authors of the 35 most interesting projects from the Mazovia province and 20 from the Silesia province will receive funds for their implementation and substantive support in the field of intercultural integration. The competition is held as part of the “Together for a Better Future” program in partnership with UN Global Compact Network Poland, as part of the United Business for Ukraine program.
Applications are accepted until September 27, 2023.

Intercultural training for competition winners
Location: Copernicus Science Centre – Copernican Revolution Workshop
Dates: October 24 from 9:00 to 14:00 and October 30 from 10:00 to 15:00
Training objectives:
reflection on what intercultural integration means: what attitudes, values, skills are needed to shape an institution / project / activity open to diversity;
preparation for work with culturally diverse students, including people from Ukraine;
familiarization with good practices in working with children and youth in intercultural topics.
Substantive support in the field of intercultural integration
Dominika Cieślikowska – graduate of the Psychology of Intercultural Relations at SWPS University, scholarship holder of the Polish government in Beijing, certified trainer and supervisor of intercultural and anti-discrimination skills. Participates in and co-organizes national and international events (trainings, webinars, research projects, conferences, publications) promoting intercultural competences, dialogue between cultures and diversity management. Co-author, author and editor of over 30 publications in the field of multiculturalism and countless scripts and lesson plans. Works with various institutions, including schools and kindergartens, on introducing a model of a multicultural institution and work on increasing intercultural competences.
